I know. Sorry to see Indianapolis is having a mini crime wave, I say that sincerely.

As I'm sure you know, Chicago had a horrible homicide year last year. YTD homicides are down like 30% from last year. There are ups and downs year to year, but I'm sure the general trend in Indy is a downward trend in crime as is the case in most cities.

There's only two, one last night and one this morning. I wonder if these individuals were randomly killed or it was preplanned.

Where did I hear someone or someplace that a city was going to start penalizing (don't know how) the parents.
This is happening in too many cities. I think the parents of the "hulagans" need a stiff talking to and/or be fined.

We shouldn't fine people for actions they don't take, or lack of action at that. If we have an issue with a large number of youth and home raising is an issue, I see only two options. The first would be to expand the criminal justice system and essentially cage these dangerous people. The second option would actually be converting middle schools and high schools into living centers, and getting court orders to remove kids whose parents are teaching them wrong, or show a complete lack of raising their offspring. The goal would be to try and show the kids how people should live, as well as providing a basic K-12 education. Either way, both would costs lots of money, but we are too busy providing billionaires with sporting facilities for their sports teams, or dumping a billion dollars on a fancy fixed mass transit rail line. Fixing the kids will just have to wait, as taxes for the other things take precedent for now.
