Downtown And Fountain Square
Can anyone tell me what the zip codes are for these two locations? Any apartments in either areas (especially high rise bldgs.) would be awesome too!
Thanks!

46202 is North (Old Northside, St. Joseph)
46203 is SE (Fountain Sq, Fletcher Place
46204 is pretty much heart of downtown
I'm not really sure about 46227, but I think 46225 is SW/Directly South of downtown.

Thanks!
Which one of these areas of Indy would be considered relatively safe? I read on MSN that Indy is a very high crime city...I have visited many cities and find it hard to believe. What do you guys think?

I'll chime in for Fountain Square! (46203)
I've lived in 46202 (Herron-Morton) and now live in FSq, and I feel safer on the southeast side of downtown--the neighborhood is more working-class and looks a little rough, but I like it! The near northside is full of super-nice new and restored homes, but the break-ins/vandalism make it not worth it for me...

ive lived on all sides of downtown and ive NEVER had a problem. I drive a fairly new lexus that sat outside my apartment on the old northside (13th and park)
never had a problem.
the worse thing i can think of that happened while i lived there was a frat prank
where they took everything off our balcony and our neighbors balcony and switched it.
it was really kind of amusing to wake up to.
also ive lived right downtown in riley towers, which was my favorite of places to live. the whole place is very secured, the neighborhood is nice and they have parking garages with gates.
but ive been skateboarding downtown Indy at all hours of the night for over 12 years and the only "crime" ive ever seen taking place is maybe grafitti artists.

Lived at Penn and Washington for a few months and there were never any problems for us, but a liquor store was robbed.
