Is Jimmy Swaggart still around? I thought he got kicked out of his church and lost his ministerial license after several sexual scandals back 20 years ago?

According to wikipedia he is still around; but I would have no idea about any churches in Indianapolis that are of his ilk.

Just curious, but why would anyone be interested in supporting a defrocked minister who was involved with prostitutes? I remember seeing parts of his "I have sinned" speech after the first scandal because it was played and replayed on every channel. Then three or four years later he was caught with a prostitute again....

Good question, I am not looking at the man, no man is perfect, I am looking at the truth that is preached from the Bible from this ministry and all the Pastors on staff there. His sins are Under the blood, that is why Christ died on the Cross so you and I and yes, even a fallen minister can run there and repent. We all fall down sometimes, but when we fall we don't have herds of reporters chasing us down to announce it to the world. Sin is sin and we all commit it and we all can be forgiven and learn and grow from it. Look at Paul, he wrote most of the New Testament, yet before Christ blinded him and showed him truth he crucified and killed Christians, look at King David who the Lord loved dearly and called him a man after His own heart, he committed every sin in the book , including murder, YET he was made King and found forgiveness and favor and God continued to use him. Just my opinion but he is now a much better Pastor after the fall, he was humbled and it took 20 years before his ministry was restored. I am so thankful that our Lord and Savior has a supernatural ability to wipe away our sins and past and through them into the sea of forgetfulness, aren't you? And I had the same questions you asked when his ministry first started back up, but after watching and listening I can see where the Lord has blessed him and the ministry again. Restoration is a beautiful thing. Thank you for your responses and question.

Did you ever find a church? Looking for a church as well. Until then we are just watching jsm and are media church members. It seems most churches in the area have either no discernment or, don't believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.

(In a Christian context): In its simplest definition, discernment is nothing more than the ability to decide between truth and error, right and wrong. Discernment is the process of making careful distinctions in our thinking about truth. In other words, the ability to think with discernment is synonymous with an ability to think biblically.
