My wife and I are planing on relocating to Indy and are looking for a nice safe area to raise our kids. We are both African American and have two kids 1 and 3 years old. We are looking to rent a house or townhome. Any infomation and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest Washington Township. Great schools but by the time your kids are ready for high school, North Central (great high school) probably won't be too great by then. Look into Fishers, it is one of the fastest growing areas in the country and their are plenty of homes to rent and townhouses. Also look into Brownsburg.

Ditto on Fishers. Great neighborhoods, great schools.

I don't think you could go wrong with Fishers or Washington Twp. In Washington Twp, make sure you are in the school system that feeds into North Central HS.

Look at both. There's construction everywhere all the time. We lived in Fishers for 4 years and liked it fine. Kids took tennis lessons in Washington Twp schools during the summers and it was great!

If you are relocating from Colorado, we have the home for you. It belongs in Colorado, a log home on 2 acres in Carmel, a suburb that is just north of Indy, and an easy commute via I65. Carmel has the one of the best school systems in the Mid-west. You will find pictures of our home listed on Keller Williams Reality. We are trying to move to Colorado, and selling our home is standing in our way. Happy house hunting!
