Hi! There hasn't been a lot to do in Indianapolis on New Year's the past five or so years. I wanted to do something fun and out-of-the-ordinary - something that would bring everyone together. So I took it upon myself to plan the event! And it is going to be unique and spectacular! A masquerade ball at the Grand Hall of Union Station. Musical guests Luce and Jonathan Clay, and circus-style performers throughout the venue. Plus, after seeing a posting for a beautiful little girl, Lauren Seiders, who had been through two liver transplants, we added a silent auction. All of the proceeds will be donated to help cover Lauren's medical expenses (through the Children's Organ Transplant Association - COTA).

Here is where I need help. I have a couple of media sponsors - 92.3 WTTS and Indy.com. Budweiser Select has picked up the title sponsor. We have ads going out, etc - but it still seems like I am not getting the word out. Do you have any recommendations for promoting the event? I have tried to post it on all events calendars around the city.

Oddly enough, there are a lot of people coming in from out of town for the event (which is great!).

The event is only $50/ticket - which I feel is a great deal compared to the majority of parties I have seen advertised.

Our website is www.indynewyears.com.

Let me know if you have any ideas! I want to raise as much money as possible for COTA! And, it has been difficult securing sponsors on a first-year event - so I need to sell it out!
