Looking to relocate to Indy from NW Indiana. From chicago, so I've never lived this far south. I need to find a good neighborhood with great schools for my kids. We are coming from one of the smallest but BEST schools in the state so good schools are my main concern.

I'd like to live in a subdivision, but have a decent sized yard. With a neighborhood full of kids so my kids aren't bored. lol So far we've looked online at Noblesville. The schools seem great.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

We want a newer home (2000 or later). I'm done rehabbing houses, I want to move in, paint, and decorate, and that's it.

Please help...

Most of the suburbs would fit but what is your budget?

Sticking within HSE or Center Grove school district would probably suit you best.

Another Chicagoland refugee. Having just been up there this weekend, I can see why people want to escape it...especially if you ever had to drive through Hubbard's Cave for anything.

You described Hamilton County and in my opinion specifically Fishers (or perhaps Noblesville).

You will find a perfect middle class Stepford Wives suburbia in your price range and be in the best school system in the area. Kids everywhere.....literally

read articles on Fishers as one of the best places to live in the country. Carmel is also great but your housing money goes a little further in Fishers.

Note there is no such thing as a small school in Hamilton county but for what it is worth...Carmel High School is massive...Fishers has two high schools that a not quite as big but big nonetheless....Noblesville might be smaller but I do not know personally.
