All I can say is when I was shopping the Avon Gerdt's last fall they had Smith Brothers for sale on their showroom floor and none of it was a clearance item. It's possible that they might have stopped carrying it in favor of cheaper imports, but it's also quite possible that the sales person didn't have a clue what she was talking about.

Here is Smith Bros. contact info as listed on Google:
356 Monroe St
Berne, IN 46711
(260) 589-2131

You ought to be able to call them and find out who in the Indy area sells their stuff. It seems strange that they wouldn't list retailers, but maybe that changes too often, so they simply don't list it. I purchased a Smith Bros. couch and chair and I LOVE them. I searched forever trying to find a couch that was comfortable and well made, yet still affordable. I looked everywhere and then went in the Martin Fine Furniture store for the first time. I figured it would be lame and almost didn't go in, but when I did I was pleasantly suprised by the furniture I found. THAT is where I was first introduced to Smith Brothers. I don't remember for sure, but I think I got a sofa, ottoman and chair for around $3K. It's all custom made to order--you pick out the legs, the fabric, the trim, the pillows--any way you want it. I have gotten many compliments on it and it has held up very well.

On a side note, Berne, Indiana, where Smith Brothers is located has a town festival, called "Swiss Days" and you can take a tour of their facility. I've never attended the event but happened to travel through the area and learned about the event. It looks like a charming, small town old fashion type of festival. Here's a link to some information about it:
