Anybody living in Indianapolis that's originally from New York City/Long Island (job transfer)

I just have to ask if there is anybody living in Indianapolis that originally lived in New York City or Long Island. I'm curious as to what made you leave N.Y.C. for Indy. Was it because Indianapolis is more inexpensive than New York City/Long Island? Did you move to Indy from N.Y.C. because it was easier to get a job in Indianapolis compared to New York City/Long Island? Will you be staying in Indy permanently or will you move back to N.Y.C. or somewhere else?

I've never lived in NYC, but one of my good friends is from Long Island. He moved to Indy because of a job transfer. He doesn't work there anymore, not sure why he stuck around Indy. He seems ambivalent toward the Indy area in general.
