Second Nordstrom? (Indianapolis, Macy: sale, closing, stores)

Does anyone know what's going on at The Fashion Mall?

I've heard the Parisians is closing summer 2007, and Nordstrom will open fall of 2008.

Does anyone know what kind of clothing will be sold there? (The one downtown is more business oriented, not much for me, since I'm more of a casual person.)

It's a relief to see the downtown stores won't close (either Nordstrom or Parisian). Getting another department store in their would probably be almost impossible. If they would have lost both, it would be disastorous for downtown. Replacing Parisian with Carson's is an interesting choice. It'll be the first one outside Chicagoland. Ironically, the downtown Carson's in Chicago, their historic flagship, is closing.

What's happening to the Carson's in Chicago? I'm still burning that Fields is now Macy's!

While I also would LOVE to see Carson's in Indianapolis, I'm stunned to hear that the downtown store is closing--please share some info as to when it will be gone?

If you mean the one in Chicago, it's supposed to be gone by spring. They're having their going out of business sale now.
