The Lafayette area is a neat little pocket of progressive thinking and cool little music/coffee shops (as most college towns are). Admittedly, I don't think their is must in Lafayette other than Purdue. But, who needs anything else! I'm a Purdue grad...but, I went to the location that is in Indianapolis. Many Lafayette friends that I had would drive down to Indy to catch a concert or go to a sporting event - but still loved that they lived & went to school in Lafayette. It's only an hour away which is nice.
Indiana weather in general changes a lot. We have hot summer & cold winters. We experience all seasons for a nice period of time. If you have allergies - they may be an issue in the spring/summer seasons. But, it's worth it to pay for an Indiana fall. Temperatures will probably be around 75 in the summer, and idk..30 in the winter? Visit

If you're coming to Lafayette - I think you'll like it. It's a quirky little town full of liberal college students. Have a good cup of coffee for me...
