It is true that the area w. of keystone N. of 96 and S. of 116 - consists largely of established neighborhoods. However I agree with Domergurl regarding the rundown comment. There is a mix of older and newer homes(and yes some vinal big boxes too). However - it also proves a very convient area to access downtown (Indy) - Fishers - and - Carmel East and city.

It is demeaning and rude to state my opinion? Is that not what we all do? I see it as older and rundown, as do many.

Seriously, for a mod, you are highly judgmental, which is not the job of a moderator to judge the opinions and posts of others. At least it isn't on every other state/city/etc thread on here....I think the mod needs to be moderated

Homeplace can be a little iffy... But I would call that "South-Central" Carmel. There is also the "Townie" part of Carmel (Old Town-and areas north of Homeplace but still between Keystone and Meridian).
East Carmel has lots of "Classic" Carmel neighborhood. Established is the best way to describe East Carmel.
West Carmel has most of the new building and newer neighborhoods in general. The Village of West Clay is lovely but some of the other newer neighborhoods seem kinda generic to me.
Just a personal preference!
