I have a question! (Indianapolis, Lawrence: apartments, rent , job)

My job is on Pendleton Pike (Lawrence, IN) and I want to find some cheap, affordable apartments in some good neighborhoods that are 5-20 minutes from Pendleton Pike. I make around $1000 a month. Or would I just have to find another job that pays better because all the good, safe neighborhoods are mostly $500 and up? Thanks for the help!

Avoid the area of 42nd and Pendleton Pike - don't even think about living there even for a second. It will almost be impossible to find what you are looking for, to my knowledge there aren't any cheap affordable apartments in good neighborhoods.

You should look for a roommate

There are some apartments north of that area just off Pendleton Pike in McCordsville. I can't remember the name, but they are right before you get to the Olio Road and PP intersection, on the south side of the road.

For less than $500 per month though - might be a good alternative if you can find a roommate.

My co-worker told me about some apartments on 56th and Boy Scout Road. I went there on my lunch break and they're not bad. 10 minutes from my job, the rent is $500 with all utilities paid, good and quiet neighborhood. They're called Oak Hill apartments. But then I saw on the internet about about some apartments called The Arbors at Cumberland that are $460 with gas and heat paid. They're close to the job too. And also I saw some called Waterstone Place apartments that were $449. I don't know if they're in good neighborhoods though because I'm not familiar with the areas they're in.

I am not familar with any of those..........

I would check out this website before committing to anything
