Once, I stopped by that Shell gas station two blocks west of Meridian on 38th and some jack asked me for a cigarette and just would not believe me that I don't smoke! It went on long enough that I really felt like we were gonna fight!! It seemed inevitable.... luckily another car pulled up to the pump next to me and the guy took off.

I actually saw some sketchy stuff there on the way home today!! Please try to move sooner than later....

I've learned not to go to gas stations that aren't near interstates. I have no problems at stations in Castleton or Southport but if I go to the one you were at or the BP just down the street I feel threatened.

I've been working OT and between that and a week spent at my parent's house in SE Indiana (in a nice, safe town no less) I missed the coke deal gone bad - thank God. Working extra so I can save some extra money and try to move before my lease is up. I will not be renting from the same company. Looking back, I kind of felt as if the realtor was almost sugar coating the place and area. The apt is nice, not grand but I'm very happy with the interior but if you don't feel safe in your own home where can you?

I forgot to mention that a few weeks ago I was on Meridian just a few buildings down from my apt, on my way home, when some guys were standing in the middle of the street attempting to get me to stop (it was about 3am). I did not stop, but I slowed down enough for one guy to try to open my door which luckily locks when I put the car in drive. I had to drive around 465 so they wouldn't see where I lived.

So scared I didn't even think to call 911. I keep telling myself that each day that goes by, I'm closing to moving. I'll miss living close to downtown though.

BTW, thanks to everyone for understanding and listening. I don't want to come off as whiny.
