As much as I LOVE my Indy hometown, even I do not consider it the best Midwest city. Chicago is the best Midwest city: international city, diversity, architecture, international cuisine, lakefront, sports, etc. Outside Chicago, Indy can however easily compete with its other tier cities of Columbus, Cincy, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Cleveland, and especially Detroit. Outside Chicago, there really isnt a "second place" city because they all have great things to offer.
