Your husband was making more than I have ever made, so I wouldn't be surprised if your apartment is better than my home. I am lucky to clear $50K/year, my wife is lucky to clear $27K/year, and she has been let go of various jobs due to budget cuts.

And I am not sure they even take section 8. Maybe you should educate yourself before blabbing your mouth. People like you make me sick.

You are not poor, unless you blew every dollar your husband every made when he was making $96K/year. Even if you did, not really the issue here I guess. I never said _all_ poor people are horrible criminals, but the _facts_ clearly show that crime is much higher in lower income neighborhoods. You may want to act like the same things that happen in the Meadows off 38th St. happen in a nice Carmel apartment complex, but you would only be fooling yourself.

^^Technically, it is in Washington, but just barely. 38th is the township line, I believe.

Yea, the recent triple murder likely has them really worried. They have gotten homicides way down from the high point not to long ago. The problem is that you can have these multi-victim killings and it can really harm your numbers in the long run. A few years ago, five or six people were shot during Black Expo. Had they all died, that would have added on six more homicides.
Of course I am waiting for the "38th St. ain't that bad" comments. When the police force has to basically have extra patrols along both the east _and_ west parts of a major city street, that should tell you something.

No the Washington township line goes to 42nd not 38th. (Please note, I am talking about the Meadows area - the east part of the district - the west part does go down to 38th. Everyday for most of 10 years I rode a bus to a Washington township schools in the area we are discussing - so I know about this topic

Map of Center Township; taken from Center Township's government website:
Center Township Trustee :: Marion County, IN
It only goes to 38th Street, no further north.
From the Washington Township website:
The boundary goes down to 38th Street:
Washington Township
Zooming in on District 2, you will see that the boundary goes down to 38th, and does include the Meadows:
Washington Township

Now it makes sense. You are talking about school district boundaries, we are talking about the actual township boundaries. The school district boundaries do not match the actual township boundaries.

Oh, OK, I didn't realize there was a difference.
