Yes, a license valid in one state is valid in another. When/if you live in Indiana again permanently you should get your IN license again.

...and you will have to retest - written and vision, no exceptions.

What's weird is that when I moved to Florida they just took my old license, had me do the vision test (identify signs) and I was done.

What is the fine for new residents that dont get there license and plates changed over within the 60 days of becoming a new resident. I got my car towed and I got two tickets. one for not having an indiana license and the other for not changing my plates to indiana. The tickets dont have an amount to pay on them but they say that I have to come to court.

That is the way its done in most states. I've had licenses in several states and never had to take any test until I moved here.
