Fishers Ranked 10th Best Place to Live in America
Money Magazine's August issue has the list of the 100 best places to live in America and they rank Fishers as number 10! In fact, it's the only city in Indiana to make the list! I know I've only lived here for 8 months, but I just have to say You're welcome! It was obviously me that helped get this ranking!

I don't hate Fishers, I just think it funny that people go all crazy about a generic suburb. I am sure Fishers is a fine place to live.

Just because it was voted as one of the best places to live doesn't mean people are going "all crazy" about it. I'm sure a lot more goes into deciding if an area is the best then the look of area (i.e. if you think it is generic). However, thank you for your glowing opinions of Fishers.

If the worst thing someone says about your town is that it is full of suburban sprawl and vinyl villages, you are probably doing ok. I don't hate Fishers, I just think it is a typical generic suburb. There is nothing wrong with that if that is what you are into.

That's not exactly what I am into (and I don't live anywhere near Fishers) - I just find it amazing how people come on here and slam the neighborhoods of others. It's a pretty elitist attitude. To call what is probably someone's dream home a vinyl village is horrible. And you can say "there is nothing wrong with that"....but it is very obvious by your post that you were cutting down on people who live in Fishers. Your whole intent in your posting was to take a positive post about Fishers and demean it.

Fishers does have loads of vinyl villages and suburban sprawl. Even a lot of people I know who live in, and love living in, Fishers say that. My mother lives in a vinyl village.
My apologies for causing you anger.

These rankings appeal to people from out of town looking for places to live.
