I am originally from Indiana and lived there until graduating high school in '96. My husband and I are planning to move back around the first of the year and I would like to know what the job market is like? Currently my husband works for an automotive manufacturing company(toyota) so I am assuming he will be looking for that type of work when we move although he has a degree in carpentry. I am a stay at home mom but was previously employed as a skip tracer.

Honestly, there are some jobs in the automotive industry, but I wouldn't count on one. I would really encourage the job search prior to the move.

With that said, could he move to the Toyota plant outside of Evansville?

Silly question, but, do you prefer N, S, E, W, central, etc. part of the state? City, or rural? Be aware that in north-central area [Elkhart, etc.], there have been many jobs lost in the RV and related industry, so may have some competition from others searching, besides the loss of those particular jobs. Sounds like your husband has some good, hands-on skills, should be able to apply himself quite well. BTW - see that yas are living in Jacksboro, TN - beautiful area... Good luck, and best wishes.
