Default Moving Boxes

Hi everyone,

I'm moving from Pittsboro to Pendleton in a few weeks. I've lived in the same house for years and I've accumulated more then I care to admit.

Anyway, I just started packing and I've run out of boxes already. I went to buy some and wow is cardboard expensive . I did some searching online and found this place: Pack It Up - Earth Friendly Moving Boxes for Central Indiana. I'm a bit of a tree-hugger myself so I like the eco-friendly idea.

Has anyone used this company before? How was the service?

Even better, I would go to craigslist.com for Indianapolis and do a search for moving boxes. There are almost always people giving them away for free or for cheap.

Then you are not causing new boxes to be made and can do the same thing when you are done.

Not much better than free.

I agree, I have given a lot of good quality boxes away on craigslist. If I were a "tree hugger" I would want to reuse before I went for anything new.

Thanks for the good advice about Craigslist. I've actually done that before but I ended up driving all over the place collecting enough boxes. That was OK when gas was $2/gallon but those days are certainly gone!
Now I've got two kids so time is at a permium around here too. I think I'm gonna to give the Pack It Up guys a try and see what happens. I'll post on the experience when I get a chance.

Still cost more to buy boxes from you than it is to pay for a gallon of gas and get free boxes. I can drive 25 miles on one gallon, if gas were $10/gl that still cheeper than buying them.

Oh, and it greener too.

the uhaul near me offers used boxes for free as a part of thier recycle program so if needing boxes you can call them and ask. Also really sturdy boxes with handles can be gotten at the grocery store. Ask for the egg boxes they are almost always some great boxes and they have handles so that no one drops the eggs
