Have a possible home to rent in this area and my husband (who is there and I am not) would like to know about this area. Southport, Madison, Emerson are the streets in this area. Sorry for the rushed post but there is another family who would like this home also so time is of the essense.

Thank you so much!

There is a SuperTarget and a bunch of other chains. If you are asking if it is a safe area, yes, it is a safe area.

We lived at Southport and Sherman Dr. (just east of 65)from '94 until we moved to Fishers in '01. The area really grew alot in that time. There is SuperTarget, Menards, Mejer all at Southport and Emerson. With all of the development came a lot of traffic. During rush hour, it is as bad a anything you'll find in the northern suburbs. Greenwood Park Mall is only 5-10 minutes away. Our son went to Mary Bryan Elementary which is a great school. Top notch education. I don't know much about the upper grades as we moved when he entered 6th grade. The housing is certainly affordable and most of the subdivisions are stable. (there are some exceptions)
