Where are the poorest areas of Indianapolis? Names of streets, intersections anything that will help me narrow it down. All I've been told is east side. I want to help where it is most needed.

Yeah I do, and I'm doing that. There are areas where families cannot get to food/clothing pantries, because of no transportation, etc. I'm trying to get to those people.

They have transportation from charites to poor people. Heck the local food bank has trucks that deliver the food to the poor so they don't have to come and get it.

-25th & Harding
-The 30th St. corridor from Sherman Ave to Meridian
-East Street/Morris Ave area or Stringtown
-Haughville; 16th St south to Michigan Ave; in between White River Pkwy to the East and Lynhurst to the West
-Southeastern Ave from downtown to English Ave

Maybe someone else can chime in with other areas.

The company I work for sends volunteers to work at the places that serve hot meals, we all take turns going to serve. I was going to refer to the places as "soup kitchens" but they offer much more than soup, an entire hot meal, fresh, good quality food to anyone who walks in the door.

They do provide free bus tickets to the poor. We often see panhandlers attempting to sell their free bus tickets or they try to trade free bus tickets for cigarettes or alcohol.

You would be better off making your donations to the organizations that help the poor.
