The area is a little iffy if you start heading south. I would stay on 86th street, and heat east. Then you are headed straight to the "wealthy" area of town. If you go to 86th, head east about a mile, there is a fabulous Italian restaurant back behind the CVS at the corner of 86th & Ditch Road. It's not a chain, and it's the best Italian Restaurant in Indy. It is NOT kid friend, so if you have children, you can't go, but give it a try, you won't be disappointed. It's Amalfi's. If you head further east all the way to Keystone, then you have things like PF Changs, Sullivans, etc.

Have fun!

I live right in the area, but I've never tried Amalfi. I'm hearing it's good. Is it a place where I need come dressed quite nicely? How expensive is it? I'd like to go check it out sometime.
