Default Any affordable neighborhoods in South Indianapolis? Whats that area like?

I was wondering if South Indianapolis has any affordable areas? I have heard South Indianapolis is a bargain compared to other areas of Indianapolis metro area.

What is South Indianapolis like?

If you are looking for a nice place to raise a family the south side of Indy would be my choice. The taxes in Perry Twp. are a little cheaper than the southeast side. The south side doesn't have quite as many restaurant, club and upscale shopping options as the far north. If you want to keep up with the Jones move north. If you want a nice place to live at a lower price move south. If you have any specific questions PM me. I was a mail man all over Indy.

I live here on the Southside.

For the most part, the Southside I would call the middle class part of the city. For the most part most of the houses are <$250k. Like was said, not a lot of upscale stores, but that again goes back to the middle class attitude.

However, just about everything you would normally need is on the Southside. Where I live I am within a 5 mile radius of about 4 grocery stores, one of the better malls in Indy, a wide range of eating establishments, a 16 screen movie theater, etc.

Any specific questions?
