Moving to Keystone at the Crossing or Broad Ripple
Hello,
I will be moving to Indy in the next couple of weeks. It is a fast move and I need help finding the best place to live.
I am a single 23 guy, and while I don't do the bar scene that often I want to be near young professionals.
I recently checked out Broad Ripple and Keystone at the Crossing. Can anyone tell me more about these areas.
Are there any great apartment complexes to live at?
I really liked River Crossing however I am not sure if I would meet alot of other young people there.
Thank you for your help!

Anything in Broad Ripple will have people your age. Look into Scandia apartments in Castleton, they have so many people your age I think it's what you are looking for. I don't know about the one at Keystone at the Crossing.

Scandia in Castleton??? I remember considering them 22 years ago and wasn't real impressed, and have heard they've gone down hill... Not sure that's where many young 'professionals' would choose. I would think Keystone @ Crossing (stay away from Nora), or downtown Carmel in the new city center would be better, IMO.

Stay off of the Allisonville Rd Corridor (i.e. Scandia)
Stay out of Nora.
You might find a home to rent in Ripple area. Apts are older and fewer, but easy to get to dining/bars.
Brockton Apts aren't bad near Glendale, just not walking distance to Ripple.

I would highly recommend River Crossing or River Ridge. They are great areas, and more upscale than other complexes in the area, but still have more young people living there. I have known people who have lived at both complexes and loved them.
Good luck!

Stick with River Crossing or River Ridge. Both very nice upscale. Stay away from River Road apt - in fact run away from those. I would also run away from Scandia.
My advise, worry about finding a nice safe place. Worry about meeting people later -
Nora isn't nice at least the apartments aren't. Interesting area of town though - as there are many $1-$2M homes very nearby

Nora is only bad because of Lakeside Pointe at Nora (Lake Nora Arms) and Nora Pines. These are so ghetto and if you think the northside has no ghetto ask the lady in hallway next to me that got robbed at gunpoint for 5 bucks and no this isn't hearsay. These two are the only thing in the are that suck and all the problems stay confined to those two areas which is nice. Ashton Brooke across from Nora Pines is a very nice property run by Glick Management which is always good. If you want to check out what other people are saying about these types of places check this link out.
