relocating to indy
I'm relocating to Indy in January from the UK to work in Plainfield. I am married with 2 kids -boy of 17 and girl of 8. Any one tell me the best areas close by to live, with good schools/colleges. Firstly will need 1 bed apartment for 3-6 months then will need 3-4 bed house (rental). Could do with a good realtor. My son is really good soccer player. Are there any high schools/colleges/clubs around that have soccer teams? All help is well appreciated.

Paging MickiJayne ... paging MickiJayne ... potential client on line 1.
Soccer is everywhere in Indy. Most, if not all the high schools have soccer teams Here are the state results for this year:
IHSAA - Play On
There are also various travel leagues available.

Here I am! If you need an agent, I would be very happy to help you. I actually live in Avon, which is just North of Plainfield. Both Avon and Plainfield are great options in terms of great schools and athletics. There are several good apartment options and very nice, safe, affordable homes.

I will be in Plainfield for a visit with my family from 6th to 12th December. I need to look at some areas to live in. I will be looking at houses for next summer but in the short term I will need an apartment. If you can point me in the right direction or act as an agent for me that would be great

You do not need an agent for an apartment, but I can definitely help you find some good ones! You can just call the apartments directly. Where in Plainfield will you be commuting to?
Linden Square Apartments are at the intersection of 10th and Raceway, on the outskirts of Avon, but a very easy commute to Plainfield. Your children would attend Avon schools. Steeplechase is another good one in Avon.
In Plainfield, a good place to start your search would be Saratoga Crossing or Central Park @ the Metropolis--- http://www.forrent.com/apartment-com...1000006609.php. I have heard very good things about both.

I would be commuting to Reeves Road. I have read that the schools in Avon are good but we are visiting the Plainfield schools first as we will be limited for time. I will be there for 6 months on my own so I can check out the Avon schools later.
What apartments would you recommend. I will spend around $600 plus as I could do with a partly furnished place. Would that get me a decent place?
