We are searching for a house in Fishers and getting very close to making an offer. The home we are interested in is in a subdivision called Eller Run. It's on Eller Rd and 106th Street. It seems like a very nice area close to parks and nature trails. Does anyone have any opinions on or experiences with the neighborhood? We're recently married and would like to find a neighborhood with a mix of couples and families.

Thanks!

There are a couple neighborhoods there.

If you are talking about the SE corner of the intersection, I would defer to another neighborhood. It looks okay, but some of the properties are starting to look run down.

There is a larger neighborhood N on Eller right across from the school. We looked hard at this neighborhood and really liked it. However, we chose to move further east. The reason we didn't move into it was the small lot sizes and homes for the money. We loved the look of the community, the trees, homes, lakes. The main shopping was also Castleton, which we would rather avoid.

There is also an older single street dead end s of the latter, not too many homes, older.

Eller run is a very well established neighborhood in Fishers. Get the home thoroughly inspected would be my advice. And considering the whole economic situation, plan on staying in the house at least 5 years. It really is a nice area though. You are close enough to shopping, but far enough away that you aren't inundated by it. No railroad tracks in the area either.
