When I do my state taxes, i have to mark Hendricks County/Guilford Township and Plainfield schools, so obviously my money is going to Plainfield. It is very frustrating but they will not bend on this rule. I espeically feel since my children go to the schools that they should be able to get the discounted rate.

I am not sure if we will be going back there due to this, even though it is a nice facility. It just becomes too expensive.
I am no expert; but if you DON'T live in the town of Plainfield, you probably didn't pay the tax. The schools use a different pool of money than what the town of Plainfield used to pay for the park. I will cite, once again, the example of my friends parents in Vanderbugh County. They live outside the city limits of Evansville; but use the Evansville schools and even have an Evansville, IN postal address. However, they do not pay any of the city taxes; and if Evansville ever built something like Splash Island and discounted admission to city tax payers; the parents would not get that discount because they don't live in the city and don't pay the same city taxes.

Well heck, if feelings had anything to do with it, then I guess I feel since I live in Monroe County and have a Bloomington address my kids should get to go to IU for free. After all, we have to deal with the college students all year. While I'm at, I guess I feel I should be able to attend IU sporting events and concerts for a discount too since my address says Bloomington.
