I thought I had replied to this but I guess not.
I lived in Franklin and I loved it there. The people were pretty nice and down to earth. The town had a really nice park and walking trail. I enjoyed my share of drinks at the Jeff Street Pub and ate many a great meal at Richards Kitchen.
Also, being really close to Indy was great. I lived in the area of Franklin were the old homes are and had lots of compliments from out of town guests about how pretty the town was, I must agree with that.
I would certainly consider living there again.

From what I understand, the new Franklin High school is a sight to behold ... top notch all the way through.

I grew up in Franklin in the 1970's. It has grown somewhat in the last 30 years, but it still retains it's small town feel. Province Park is a beautiful park with a pool between downtown and the college. There are some beautiful Victorian homes around downtown. On the east side of town are new upscale homes and older 50's and 60's big ranches. They are close to Webb Elementary and Needham Elementary. On the westside is Camelot. The homes in Camelot range between 45 and 10 years old. The neighborhood is still well kept and is close to both Johnson County Hospital and Custer Baker Intermediate School. There is local shopping both downtown and north on 31. Greenwood Mall is only about 15 minutes north on 31. The high school is brand new and the old high school, built in the 60's, is the new middle school. It was and still seems to be a great place to raise a family.
