Default Indianapolis Motor Speedway seating....?

I will be attending the Allstate 400 and am about to buy tix. Before I do I wanted to know if the Paddock Penthouse section was good? Or if the regular Paddock section was adequate? Also, what are the best seats to get a view of the cars and etc? Thanks.

I would say that the Paddock section is pretty good. Personally IMO I think the best place to view the cars is either close up to the starting line or on one of the turns

long story--but we were invited to watch the 500 from a corporate penthouse one year. It was one of the really pricy ones. We needed special passes just to walk up the stairs. Those were the best seats ever because we could go inside the air conditioned penthouse when we wanted to cool off. Once in a lifetime thing though. Especially since it's the only time I've been to the big race.

Paddock is good.

I used to sit in section A. Out of the sun, could watch the straight, first turn, short shoot, and until they stuck up signs and stands the second.

You also get a good view of the pit action and the exit.
