Hey there, I will be moving down to Indy this summer for grad school and have begun the process of looking for an apartment. Like any city, I have heard that Indy has its good parts and its bad parts. My main concern is that I find a place which is going to be relatively close to the IUPUI campus and that it will be in a safe area. I have found a townhouse that looks appealing, yet, I am not sure if it is in a good, safe area because I am from out of town. The townhouse is located off McCarty street, near the Lilly Corporate Center. If anyone has any insight on these area it would be much appreciated. I have attached a mapquest link to the specific area I am looking at. Thanks!

That is in Fletcher Place, which is for the most part a nice safe neighborhood. Pretty quiet. If you can, you should visit and see what you think of the neighborhood.

Gentrified area of downtown. Full of older remodeled homes and some condos. Very quiet except for some interstate noise. We live that close and it does not bother us. You can easily walk downtown easily. Hubby walked to work from farther north. There is a good grocery downtown, lots of places to eat, easy access to school.
