Default How bad are the trains in Beech Grove?

My family is considering the purchase of a house in Beech Grove. We'd be on 3rd Avenue pretty near the train tracks. Can anyone tell me how active those tracks are? Can we expect to hear the trains going at all hours? Are they very loud when they do operate? Any info is greatly appreciated.

Good question. While i cannot address the specific area, I can hear trains even downtown while they are running on the east side. Some of those conductors run the sirens all the time, in fact, I can hear one right now and it is 6am on a Sunday and I have all the windows closed.

I like the sound of the trains running over tracks but not the inconsistent train whistles.
