Default HELP! Carmel, Westfield or Noblesville High Schools.....and Developments

We are possibly relocating to the area from Cleveland and are considering all areas around Carmel. My husband's office will be on Meridian/No Carmel Drive. We have three teenagers and a 7yr old and are trying to find a neighborhood with a pool to meet the community and are also trying to decide which school would be best for the high schoolers. (Guerin was our first choice, but a waiting list may prohibit this from occurring.) Any input regarding neighborhoods is appreciated (we are looking at Oak Manor-Westfield, Delaware Trace, Shelbourne Estates, Laurel Lakes and high schools. I am sure both would be great, it is just a matter of size I am guessing.

If you do end up relocating, you really should engage the service of a real estate agent and they can help you with things like this. Here is my .02 and the condensed version: you can't go wrong with any of these and a lot of it will come to personal preference for you and your family. Oak Manor had its share of troubles with builders going under etc. but it seems to be pulling out of it and should end up a great community. Delaware Trace is a nice community and may feel a bit more established. There is a lot of inventory in DT right now. Shelbourne Estates is another good community, it has a good amount of inventory right now. Just know the pool is across the street technically in another community. Highest average price of the communities you are looking at. Laurel Lakes has a good location but not a ton on the market right now. What is on the market is towards the higher end of the neighborhood.

Hope that helps.

I wouldn't write Guerin off yet ... people are moving in and out of the area all the time. Don't be surprised if something doesn't open up by the summer. Keep in touch with admissions letting them know that you are still very interested.

Thank you. I am definitely keeping in contact with Admissions at Guerin. I appreciate your suggestion. They told me the same thing (that openings occur during the summer), I am just a bit tentative because I need THREE to get spots, not just one child. We'll see....thanks again for the tip.
