Very, very nice campus. Decent school for an undergraduate education. Muncie leaves a lot to be desired as it's pretty much an old manufacturing town, but The Village and neighborhoods adjacent to campus are nice. Entertainment and shopping options are plentiful just down the road in Indy.

And David Letterman is the most famous broadcasting alum!!! With it's proximity to Fort Wayne and Indy, it will be very convenient for internships!

Ball State has excellent broadcasting programs and athletic programs to. Just like everyone above Muncie is the ideal place for its closeness to the top 2 major cities in Indiana. Plus Indianapolis is only about 45 minutes 30-45 minutes south of Muncie and there is lots to do there!

My wife graduated from Ball State in 2006. It is a VERY underrated university, and offers most if not all the resources that you would find at a school the size of Purdue or IU. Like someone else said, the campus is very beautiful. I hope they continue to raise their profile nationally.

Plus, the quality of education in a few of their programs (architecture, education, telecommunications, journalism) is top-notch.

Having said all that, Muncie is EXTREMELY depressing, a victim of Rust Belt blight. It's a shame that they don't take advantage of a resource other Midwestern cities of similar size would kill for.

THANKS for all of your input! We did visit the campus twice & were very impressed by what they had to offer (especially in their TECOM program). The teachers & staff that we met were very warm & inviting & answered any & all questions we had. They couldn't have been any nicer! I'm happy to say that my son was accepted to BSU, got his letter last week, YEAH!!! He definitely plans on attending BSU...now the fun begins!!! (searching for financial aid, scholarships, grants, etc....)
