Need builder in the town of Franklin (custom home, new construction)

We are planning on relocating to the town of Franklin. We want to try to build. I am looking for a good, Honest semi custom builder. It seems the two I have talked to have the same price no matter what type of house we want to build or which options we choose it is always .. Our top dollar!!

You should get a good local Realtor to introduce you to several builders, help you find the right area for you at the right price, and then watch your back during construction and be there in case of any "misunderstandings". I have helped several families with new construction, and I like to think that having a realtor is a very helpful thing even when building.

On the other hand, I've built two custom homes without the assistance of a Realtor. We did have one. He showed up for his check which I'm sure was added to the cost of the home. (and no, the Realtor did not recommend him--I found him.) A good book on new home construction so that you understand the language of builders and what to expect in terms of specs, what to watch out for, etc. is more useful.

Which is why I said to find a "Good" Realtor. Not just someone who will show up for their check.
