Possibly moving to Indy, working on west side near Speedway.
I may be getting a new job right near the Indy Speedway, and I'd have to relocate from Michigan (Detroit area).
I am looking for areas with good schools and housing on 1-3 acres within a 30 minute drive. On the maps, Mooresville looks close, but I don't have a clue about the area.
Can anybody help out with some suggestions?
Thank you so much!

Have you considered Plainfield?
Plainfield is only 25 minutes from downtown,15 minutes from the airport, traffic here is light, great schools, excellent greenway system, excellent police and fire services, still has that small town characteristc/feel,excellent shopping oppurtunities, housing is affordable and the people are pretty nice here. Finding a house with 1-3 acres you will definetly not have a problem with that in Plainfield.

I would look in Hendricks County if I were you, that includes Plainfield, Avon, Danville, and Brownsburg. Perhaps check Morgan County too but that will be a further drive. I just showed a nice house in Clayton with 6 acres priced at $170,000-something this past week. What price range are you thinking of?

Plainfield
Thank you MikiJayne & gdude!
Plainfield sounds like a nice community. I'd be roughly 20 minute's drive from my new employer, and it would be a relatively short drive out to "hill" country.
I am looking in the $150K - $200K range for houses. I have a 14 year old stepson, a 7 year old son and 16 year old daughter. I'd want to find a house that has 3 or 4 bedrooms with a finished basement that could accommodate a 4th bedroom if the house only has 3 bedrooms. I'd like small acreage (1-3), if possible.
I probably won't know anything for another month, but I want to start doing the research on the Indianapolis area.
Thanks again,
Scott

Update - the job in Indianapolis would have been too much stress on me and my family. We would have 2 house payments until we sold our house in Michigan, and my wife would have had to quit her job.
The job in Indy didn't pay enough for the work that it demanded.
