Last weekend I was traveling 65 in a 55 on US 41 just outside of Sullivan when two cars came flying up behind me. Being the nice guy that I am, I moved over into the right lane after I got around the semi I was passing and they zoomed by me. There was a sheriff going south on 41 and he turned around and started heading north. The two cars suddenly became studious drivers............. to no avail. The sherrif pulled the front car over; the other car turned off of 41 when the sheriff turned on his lights.

That made my day.

Yeah, the new Mustang cop cars on 465 are bad news. I have seen about a dozen in the last two weeks and you would never know they are a cop car until they turn their lights on.

Amen to g-dude on the Hendricks County heavy handedness. I thought it was bad 8 years ago when I quit working in Prestwick but en route to the VA last Wednesday I counted a couple dozen county police/unmarked, half actively engaged in pullovers along our route from the Hendricks line to the Marion line, a good 80% on US 36. Plainfield is always bad, I have asked friends if they are financing that new walk path 'arch' at the western end on US 40 with tickets or something.

I'm from NY I don't drive bad. Although I've seen the same amount of oblivious people behind the wheel. Don't check the mirrors, no turn signal. And just because they own an SUV they OWN the whole road. I'm not downing all SUV owners.

Seems that 4 or 5 lines of roadways is license for some people to just go buck wild if traffic isn't moving that fast.

But I have to say, off the 'I' roads .. on the back city streets folks are more giving for the most part. Still some that are in left field but better.
