Looking for Safe/Family Friendly Suburbs (Indianapolis, Fishers: low crime, house prices, schools)

Hello,

My husband and I are considering moving to the Indianapolis area. I don't know anything about this area! Is this the type of city that has surrounding suburbs and if so, which ones are the safer/family friendly choice (where the house prices are not too high)? Any other info you could provide would be great!

Indianapolis has suburbs on 3 of it's 4 sides. All the suburbs are excellent with affordable housing, low crime rates, great schools and a bit of diversity. I would recommend Plainfield-Avon. Their nice towns but not "to nice" like Southern Hamilton County. Plainfield has excellent shopping and recreational amenities with lots of family friendly activities to do.

gdude, Fishers is "too" nice??

I have to ask, what does "family friendly" mean?

Well..lol sometimes being to nice can be a downfall. Family friendly means that your entire family can do.
