ps In today's world, few of us know our neighbors really well. We are not likely to know everyone's opinions on other neighbors, etc. So even if we say a neighborhood is nice to everyone, who knows unless there already is a diverse neighborhood in existence.
So I would ask about diverse neighborhoods. One friend of mine from Burma (Myamar) lives on 334 near Michigan. She said her Pulte subdivision is full of people from around the world. Lots of professors, professionals, etc. She enjoys the diversity.

True, we can never know everyone's opinion of other neighbors, but isn't that true in the most diverse neighborhood, or at least it could be, we just don't know. Could be worse in diverse areas - who knows. All we know is how people treat their neighbors and I have never heard of a problem in southern Hamilton County

Some of the people were actually locals that said that. I remember one was wearing a CHS sweater.

It is important that the poster feel comfortable himself/herself in the area. I had an issue when we moved to the suburbs in Raleigh NC and found myself with only one other woman in my age range who stayed home. All the others had lots of kids or kids and jobs. So I was pretty lonely during the day.
Better for me to have done more research into my needs and moved to a community with older residents. Had nothing to do with race but more with compatability.
Comments would be easier to solicit if the original request had not been posted in the negative. Better to ask where to find XX rather than where is racism. Those who find the area good might be more likely to post their positive experiences.

You'll be fine. As far as suburbs go, Fishers is one of the better areas in greater Indianapolis. I'm sure you're a nice person and people will see that as well. I live in a predominantly white subdivision in SW Fort Wayne, and neither me nor my wife have ever had any issues with our friendly neighbors.

Have to agree that Fishers would be a great area....I moved out of IN a few months ago and moving back here the 1st of November as a mother of 3 biracial children I have found Fishers is a great area...also look up statistics Fishers is a very educated city and most often I have found educated people don't have alot of time to worry about color.

No Problem
I am an African American living in Carmel and there has never been any problems. I am very surprised to hear about what was said in Clay Terrace, I have never even gotten a funny look.

I am an African American female. My family has lived in Carmel and now lives in Westfield. We moved to this area from out of state about 5 yrs ago. I have never had any problems with racist attitudes. I admit that Westfield and Carmel aren't very diverse, but definitely not racist.
