Default Plainfield and Greenwood info

Hi all. I'm moving to Indy in September and have used apartment search sites, crime stats sites and this excellent forum that has been a great source of info.

I don't want to get into town and just choose an apartment in a day or day or in a week for that matter.

So, I'm looking for a motel or small duplex or apartment that is fairly completely furnished and includes all utilities on a month-to-month basis. Obviously, motels would fill the bill.

I've checked InTowneSuites and the corporate extended stays.

What I'm looking for is a locally owned motel or duplex or other such housing that meets the criteria above in either Plainfield, Greenwood or Southport.

These are the type of places not often listed in corporate apartment.com Websites and the Craigs list for Indy is inundated with the corporate apt complex types. Unfortunately, I notice the online yellow pages also list the corporate motels. Wish I had an old fashioned Greenwood/Plainfield phone book.

I know it helps to get answers by being specific. Hope I didn't overdo it. Last thing I would add is that I'm looking for a reasonable safe area.

Thanks for all the help so far any any help on this problem.

Could anyone provide names small motels, duplexes or property managers that deal with such properties in the Greenwood/Southport areas?
Thanks.

I would call the chamber of commerce for Plainfield.
Also there is a great outdoor type of mall that is about 4 years old in Plainfield that is a great place to shop and be outdoors.
Nearby Avon is equally as nice and I know there are quite a few brand new complexes there that are superb.

In Greenwood I do not recall many furnished corporate apartments...But I have to say RUN from the POLO RUN apartments...I lived there for close to 18 months and it was AWFUL!

Then check out Park Place downtown
Park Place at City Centre

ROFL Polo Run, Im right by you in Westminster.. Now that is a place to definately run from! I think St. Andrews Apartments on Main street, greenwood have something you might like. I am not sure what price range youre looking.

You might call Home Quest Realty, located on Main St. in Greenwood. The staff there will be able to help you. They are well versed in assisting people who are relocating. They know of month-to-month rentals.

Phone Saratogo Apartments in Plainfield and ask for Dale. My company rented me a fully furnished apartment for 6 months while i got a work visa. The place is really nice and i never had any problems, well apart from a bloody crazy cat running around in the apartment above me. Dale sorted out everything, i just walked into the place and it was home from home. Don't be put of by the advertised prices, they will negociate. Stay away from the corporate places, they rip your eyeballs out.
