Default Relocating to Indianapolis

Are there any affluent African-American residential communities/suburbs in Indianapolis?

You would probably get a better response if you posted this in the Indianapolis sub-forum and not NW IN subforum. Ask the moderator to move it.

I'll answer quickly though I'm not as familiar with Indianapolis as some posters: no, I think affluent AA's are spread throughout the city/suburbs.

Sure, out in the suburbs. As far as in the city goes, Knolton Place is the only one I can think of. those houses are around 200k and its primarily AAs. Towards downtown it gets more diverse: white black, rich, poor, skinny, fat, tall, short, artsy, business. But if thats what you want, to live around other rich black people, try some Avon communities or even Fishers/Carmel neighborhoods. Good luck

Not really. At least not like cities such as Chicago or Atlanta. You have to decide what you really want. Diverse schools? Diverse neighborhood? Or are you looking for almost solely AA nighborhood and schools that are affluent.

You can live in either Lawrence township or Washington township and get very diverse schools and live in affluent neighborhoods - but those probably will be mostly white neighborhoods
