Default Where to Live Single/Young Professional (Non-Broad Ripple Area)

I just made plans and confirmed a move in three weeks so I'm searching for a place with a friend I went to college with to move to the Indianapolis area. We've been doing a lot of research, but are still hard-pressed to know exactly where to live. My friend refuses to live in the Broad Ripple area, but I would like to live where there's a good concentration of young people. Could anyone provide suggestions on where to look at? We would need to be about 15 - 20 minutes from Brownsburg because my friend works there, but other than that there are little restrictions (besides price).

Thanks in advance!

What's wrong with Broad Ripple? Other than downtown, that's got the largest concentration of young college grads in the city. I'd suggest Castleton or Carmel/Fishers otherwise.
