Assumed pretentiousness, it seems, is more irksome to many than most anything else. If you are 45+, Broad Ripple may be somewhat interesting, but it attracts mostly a very young crowd. The Meridian Kessler area has many very well-to-do people interested in a variety of things; many of them so comfortable with their achievements, knowledge, generosity, and genuine concern for the arts, and the welfare of others, that you will probably rarely hear them talk about it. The area is close to downtown, Northside.
