Were is the best place to raise a family around the Indianapolis area. Most likely will wind up working in the city and would like to be with in 20 min. of Fishers or Carmel. I would like to by a home in a nice neighborhood for around 150,000. Any ideas?

If you want to be within 20 minutes of Carmel or Fishers, why not just live in one of those places?

I was unsure if there was an area around there that I sould look at as well. What are the differences between Fishers, Carmel, Nobelsville, and Zionsville? Please excuse me if I have misspelled any thing.

I would say that Greenwood is a lot further than 20 min to Fishers and Carmel, but for $150,000 I would look at Noblesville and maybe Fishers. I don't think that you would get much in Zionsville or Carmel.

Your dollar may stretch a bit further in Hendricks County, just west of Indy

Greenwood, Perry Township, and Franklin Township will also get you more SF for your $$$ than anywhere on the north side. Franklin Township in particular should be a 20 minute drive to Fishers or Carmel (except during really bad traffic).

Thumbs down where to live

All those areas are great. Noblesville seems most affordable, has great shopping, easy access to mian roads/ highway and is growing quickly (better resale?)
