All 6 of the Hendricks County public High Schools were included on the Indiana Chamber of Commerce's "Best Buy" list. The list looks at the highest achievement levels (as measured by standardized testing, graduation rates, SAT scores and participation, and Advanced Placement scores) with the lowest amount of tax dollars.

For 2009, 135 Indiana schools were given "Best Buy" status for providing taxpayers with the most value for their money.

Hendricks County High Schools include:
  • Avon
  • Brownsburg
  • Cascade
  • Danville
  • Plainfield
  • Tri-West

It's only because Danville, IN has the highest grading scale in Indiana. In other words...if your child is making straight "B's", then, in Danville it would be rated as a "C" average. Therefore, the children are "forced" to make good grades in order to keep up, but it looks as though they're exceeding their grade scoring averages. If all schools in Indiana were forced to have the same grading average as Danville's schools, then it would be worthy of bragging points.
