Our home has a large loft on the 2nd floor. We would like to have a wall and doorway built halfway through to create a 3rd bedroom. Does anyone have a contractor they would recommend? No new outlets would be needed so no wiring. Just a wall and a door.

Any referrals would be appreciated. *I'm too cheap to sign up for Angie's list*

If it matters I live on the south side (Perry Township)

Become a member of Angie's List and you will have a continually updated list of recommended service providers in a whole lot of categories. Been the best thing we have done. They can give you any number of A rated ones that handle your issue and area and will help with problems.

Cannot say enough good about them and the service. Plus they are local themselves.

It is only $34. If you cannot afford it, you cannot afford a remodeling.

I can afford it. I just thought folks on here would have a recommendation. I don't appreciate the condescension.

Wasn't necessary.

I think Angie's List is a waste of money anyays. It's actually $72 a year now. It was just charged to my girl friends credit card. The price has increased do to them including doctor referrals now.

I would suggest checking out the Better Business Bureau and see if they offer anything. Also, check the local news channels websites and see if they recommend or have any articles on it. Good luck!

$34 to $72 a year is quite a bump, especially with the economy being as bad as it has been. Angie's List also charges some hefty fees to contractors/service providers to advertise.
