Very interesting. The lawyer is attacking the adults who were on the bus and should have supervised the students more closely. CarmelStar.com | Carmel, Indiana, breaking news, photos, things to do | IndyStar.com | The Indianapolis Star

Hopefully Carmel gets slapped hard and it sends a message to other school districts. However, what will happen is an out-of-court settlement with a gag order. We are never going to find out what happened. Even if the Grand Jury opts for charges, there is no probable cause that I know of, so no "facts" of the case are presented. We would have to wait for court testimony, and if the kids take a plea, they might be allowed to just admit to the language on the charging affidavits, say sorry, and then be sentenced. We may actually never know specific details, even if there are criminal convictions in an open court case. Wow.

I have seen the Star forum. The article you are referring to is different from the one I posted. In fact, I had commented on it the other day when it was published and now all of the comments are gone.

I agree with you, there must be some connection to the Carmel brass that causes the comment sections to vanish in thin air.

Not least of all those wanting validation of their fantasies about plutocrats being able to buy any outcome they choose.

Yup -- such as, for instance, buying off a major newspaper publisher.
