I need a Chicago-style Italian deli/market in Indy.

Preferably, one that makes and dries their own salsiccia.

There was a stand in the City Market called Constantino's. I never visited, but it was on my to do list. I did read or see that they were having some financial problems and were behind on their rent. They are no longer listed on the City Market website. I'll be watching the responses here as I love a good Italian market, but I've not run across one since leaving the Chicago area. I had high hopes for Constantino's but it seems as if it's closed.

Someone here once mentioned another good imported foods market, but I don't recall the name. The website looked great. I hope they will repost it as I'll be in Indianapolis tomorrow and might consider a stop.

No idea if this is close to what you are looking for, but I love the place, and shamelessly plug the place whenever possible

Can't go wrong with Nicole Taylors.. one of the best italian eateries in the city. Went there all the time when I lived in indy. It's at 1128 E 54th St.

I'd give the place a call, maybe they'll send you some! The other option would be to give Frasier's Gourmet a call in Fishers. They may be able to hook you up.http://www.frasiersgourmet.com/
