My wife is in Indy for 4 weeks or so before we all move down there but she was wondering if there was a cell phone law in effect especially in Indianapolis area.

I did a google search but I can't find anything super specific regarding that.

As of now, the only law is a restriction on teenagers.

However, they are talking about expanding that to adults as well. Stay tuned...

Meaning using a bluetooth only? In Chicago it's headsets only and we have the no texting, emails or anything throughout the state.

I think it is hands free exempt, and the law that would be enacted on adults would also be hands free exempt. All other use of cell phones while driving would be banned.
