I am new to the city. I live in downtown. I am looking for a public library branch that would be safe to camp in (studying). Looking for a smaller library than the central branch.
I found a branch in college st. Would like to know from someone familiar with the area,if it would be safe to park a relatively new car there for hours without being robbed/vandalized and also regarding personal safety.
Maybe other recommendations: other branches nearby. Starbucks does not count (really want to read and learn ).

Try the IUPUI Library. It's a full-service library, and open to the public. It's not as nice as Central, but certainly less bums. You may want to ride the shuttle or walk over to avoid parking hassles.

Hmmm, thought i posted this but it vanished. The library at 42nd and College is across the street from both a big fire station and police station. It is a safe area.
