I agree with Asheville Native to a certain point, but then we part company. Yes, it is their site and they can do whatever they want; however, they are there to serve as are all businesses and companies. I genuinely feel we've become a society in which people just take whatever is thrown at us whether we like it or not, and it's high time we stopped the steamrollers. We hardly ever ever hear it now, but the catch phrase was (and still should be) "the customer is always right". In the case of google, they followed the phrase and determined the customers were right.

No ... some of my customers use the service I support as a complimentary addition to other things we sell. That doesn't mean I treat them any differently.
I also have the same attitude towards people using the freeware tools that I support in the datacenter.
